URBAN ASSAULTER ADVANCED COMBATIVE CARBINE

This class takes basic skills to the dynamic level and integrates shooting skills with tactics and decision making. The class is heavily focused on conditioned responses and the variances from defensive to offensive shooting-topics not covered by almost any other firearms class. It is not a simple, paper target, tight shot group class, but a broad range tactical learning experience. This class is well suited for an instructor development program and it introduces a tactical framework that can be implemented in other combative programs.

URBAN ASSAULTER ADVANCED COMBATIVE CARBINE

This class will train operators to fight with a long gun in urban environments as part of a comprehensive tactical framework of responses to advanced tactical situations.  Many of the key sections will be fully applicable to any weapon and defensive tactics system.  This is a great course for instructor development because it introduces concepts that can help integrate a tactical program.

It takes basic skills to the dynamic level and integrates shooting skills with tactics and decision-making.  The class is heavily focused on conditioned responses and the variances from defensive to offensive shooting—topics not covered by almost any other firearms class.  It is not a simple, paper target, tight shot group class, but a broad range tactical learning experience that includes combat oriented marksmanship.

Most range classes work to improve skill at something that operators rarely do: static, fully-sighted, firing at stationary targets in simple environments.  We do teach these skills, but we put them in perspective with the more important defensive and dynamic skills.  We also condition operators to make use of movement, cover, striking, shooting, and verbal commands at the appropriate time.

Course will cover:

·      Initiative Based Tactics  (OODA Loop, WARS concepts)

·      Conditioning the primary tactical actions: Move, Defend, Attack, Cover, Transition, and Communicate

·      Two man team tactics and battle drills

·      Shooting continuum: contact to point to sighted fire

·      Advanced weapon manipulation drills

·      Advanced combative transitions with and without a handgun

·      Instinctive use of cover and fighting from the doorway principles

·      Being a hard target: movement, evasion, directed suppressive fire, getting small, use of cover, and reducing exposure time

·      Shooting on the move at various speeds

·      Alternative force options with a gun in hand including gun defense

·      Ambush survival tactics: getting off the x, tactical vectoring, engaging multiple targets, and the power of the immediate counter-attack

·      Shooting in a cluttered and complex environment

·      Shooting from inside of a vehicle (range dependant)
