Who are you?
I am originally from Hudson, Ohio where I graduated high school in 1996. After graduating I enlisted in the US Army, which I was trained to be an Infantryman (11B). I served active duty for 4 years and was stationed at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska. After being Honorably discharged, I returned to Ohio to pursue a career in Law Enforcement. I graduated with Honors from the Cleveland Heights Police Academy in 2003 and soon after was sworn into the Summit County Sheriff's Department as a reserve deputy. In 2005 I was contracted by the private security company, Blackwater USA to protect US State Department Officials working in Iraq. In 2006, I accepted a contract to protect US Government employees and facilities working in the Middle East. In 2017, I concluded my career as a security contractor to pursue a franchise opportunity with Signal 88 Security. My mother, Ellen, will play a role in the growth of the company by contributing her experiences in administration and sales.

Why are you here?
For the last 12 years I have been deploying overseas to high threat locations in the Middle East, spending anywhere from 6-10 months deployed per year. I felt that my time had been served in that profession and it was time to do something else. Several colleagues of mine from the contracting world had resigned to pursue franchising with Signal 88 Security. After hearing of their own success, I was inspired and motivated to see professionals like myself make it in the business world. Having come from a solid security background, it was a natural choice for me to purchase a franchise. Now I plan to use the skill sets I learned on the battlefield and protecting people to give peace of mind to clients stateside.

What are your plans for this year?
I have big plans and solid goals set for this year. However, I know I have a lot to learn about this new venture. My goal is to learn this business from top to bottom to serve my clients more efficiently. I want the Signal 88 name to mean something positive in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio. I want to continue to grow the brand and tap into various markets that need peace of mind.
